Patek Philippe

which looked exactly like the one in the first pictures. Yours does it (maybe) have added parts, afterwards? Just a guess! Oliver

I don't think it's had anything added. Here you can see a Swiss hallmark (squarish mark) on the lug near where a hole would be if it were like the typical 1438. I don't see evidence of solder or other marks to indicate an aftermarket fabrication. No evide...  

I find particularly attractive..... What year is it?

It dates to 1942. Also has the 9-90 caliber movement with Geneva Seals. L

Interesting and very attractive watch. I have a vague recollection of possibly having seen a watch like yours (maybe it was yours) many years ago. You might try: checking the data bases of the auction houses for "Patek 1438"; send images of the watch, ins... 

Hi, Thank you for the response. I have sent pictures of the watch inside and out to a representative from Patek and hope that she will respond within a week or two. Keeping my fingers crossed!! L
