I actually have been faced with exactly the same dilemma and because of that I have delayed pulling the trigger on a 5960P. A few months after having first seen the RG version, I am worried of getting bored with the RG. I think the color mix is stunning but it is a bit bling and as such not an every day watch. Plus, thanks to the RG, prices on the Plat have come off and at the current difference in prices it is a lot easier to convince yourself to go for a platinum version. I am 90% set on the platinum now... just have to do it.
