Introduced in 2015 with a platinum case and a Grand Feu black enamel dial (ref. 5370-001 ), Patek Philippe's Split Seconds Chronograph ref. 5370 now comes in a rose gold case with a Grand Feu brown & beige enamel dial (ref. 5370R-001 ). It replaces in the...
to have clear ideas like you have. As far as I’m concerned, I’m unsure which model(s) will really remain in my mind. But this one is well worth looking at, no doubt about it.
Caliber CHR 27-525 PS, which powers the 5950A, is 27.30 x 5.25 mm high and beats at 3 Hz. Caliber CHR 29-535 PS is 29.60 x 7.1 mm high and beats at 4 Hz.
...but I also tracked down the 5.25mm calibre height via an old Patek press release. So why can't they make a version of this movement today just as slim? Like I said, I've tried on a 5370...really nice, but imho a bit top-heavy in platinum. It is as dres...
slimness seems to be more important to you than it is to me. And it's also sometimes the condition for some great depth to the caliber like in Laurent Ferrier's micro rotor, which wouldn't be as gorgeous if it didn't have this depth. There are certainly m...
...especially when in platinum as is my friend's watch. It is top heavy. Maybe that can be alleviated by a custom strap. My point is, Patek made slim rattrapante movements in the recent past, so they know how to do it. At almost $300,000, I expect a bit m...
I agree with you, the blue variant is amazing in the metal (had the chance to try it on). But I'm also attracted to the new variant (rose gold is a big thing for me)... Best, Emmanuel
both P versions. I think both are pretty spectacular but the blue takes it to another level. The dial is for me as beautiful as it gets. The R version also looks amazing in a warm and inviting way. The 2 tone works really well with the rose case. Best, Pa...
I really know how good it looks and can only agree with you. But rose gold always means a lot to me and this new variant seems quite stunning. Thank you for your comment, Patekova. Best, Emmanuel
It's my personal favorite, but I'm a colored gold guy, so it isn't very much of a surprise. For me the warmth of colored gold feels almost always more attractive than the "colder" tone of platinum or white gold. Just my taste of course. Best, Emmanuel
If I ever get to own a PP Split Seconds Chronograph, it will be this wonderful 2025 Model A/Ref. 5370R-001. For me personally, this vintage inspired enamel dial is by far the most beautiful iteration. So this is one of a few watches from W&W 25 that has r...
I'm glad you like it so much, as I also find it wonderful, and I hope you will be allocated one as soon as possible! Fingers crossed! Have a very nice weekend. Best, Emmanuel
