I appreciate it your comments on not being worth the hype ! Indeed a watch doesn't have to cost 2 times the list price on the second hand market. Maybe years after being discontinued but not when still in production.
On the other hand it is a rare watch, it is a very original piece and it is still affordable, most PP do cost more. When affordable for most who do buy PP you will have a huge demand. So, if you only make 50 ?? per year …. you'll create a hype. The same happened with the 3712 and 5070P
If there was no 5712 the 3712 would not be that expensive and if they made the 5070P also 4 years like the other 5070, the 5070P wouln'd be that expensive. Rare or very rare and affordable creates insane prices. Make a 5950 with a special enamel dial and it will not double in price it's already too expensive
I do wonder when they will discontinue it, started in 2008 … 7th year in production and they won't make it forever.
