3940G or 5056P I like the look of the 5056P, however, the perpetual complication of the 3940 is highly tempting. I'd need to see and feel them on my wrist for a final decision. Good luck! Vte

Two different 5056 watches. It’s a great piece. I sold one of them to help finance a 3940j. I have never regretted that decision. The 3940 is a stellar example of Patek Philippe. You will not regret it.

retrograde date function. If so, the 5059 definitely has an interesting (i.e. not plain) dial. If not, the 3940 dial design is well balanced and attractive. Enjoy your hunt !
