Suggestion to the Chef...
Put your G on the brown strap from the yellow gold model (I think it's from the yellow and not the rose gold model). It looks great! Much warmer than the black strap with gray stitching that it originally comes with. Also makes the dark gray face look like a lighter shade of gray. Color scheme is similar to a 5960P.
If you are willing to consider my suggestion and need a picture, let me know, and I'll find a recent one.

I have seen it and it is not my cup of tea.
It was originally made for the Asian market but they brought 35 or so pieces to the US in recent months as my AD has one. It is limited but I would not buy it for that reason alone as it is kind of gaudy, in my opinion.

I was able to procure a copy of Patek's official retail price list in their Paris salons days before the new year. In the said price list, a price was quoted for the 5712GR. Now, if it is a watch made specifically for the Chinese market, and that only 50 ...
Don't think so too...
I still prefer the Nautilis in SS variant. As to the other model, I think there are other worthy complication to aim for than the 5712, say an annual calendar with moon phase.
Much prefer mine
5712G - it's much less fussy than the GR, and a lot more subtle. Other than watch fanatics no one has ever noticed or commented - the perfect scenario.

I bought the dark brown (cocoa) strap from the rg version and it's a very nice twist as you say, warming up the watch. I have the watch on its "winter" charcoal strap until the spring.

I don't appreciate very much the mix between white and rose gold. I prefer it either in SS in one gold color. But could also look at annual calendar, as already said, for instance the 5146 G with the slate / grey dial...You've got the same complications, ...
I think the piece is quite nice. However, I too prefer the solid gold 5712R
Both great choices nonetheless.

My Local Patek Philippe Dealer had one in his store the last time I was there. I liked it but I had already purchased a 5712R so I was not a buyer.
