Sorry to see this, O...unfortunately these issues, as unlikely as they are, may indeed occur, and once you spot them you can't unsee them! ;-) I have no doubt that Patek will replace the dial of your friend's watch, entirely free of charge. Cheers ;-)

It is a matter of good eyes. A dial replacement is an option. With a special cloth, the hair scratch can be removed by a Patek certified watchmaker.
There is a scratch on the dial. People are talking about the lines but they are confused.
To the left of the P in "Patek" there is a mark on the dial.

I hope Patek does right by your friend. It can happen to any brand but have been seeing stuff like this more and more from Patek, esp on the movement side. They have lost their edge.

I bought my first Patek, well 2, Ladies and Gents 18kt.&SS Nautilus in 1986. I believe that makes 35 years for me and HSWA in New York always took good care of me
This is just how impressive..My model 3800 had a split stem crown that kept coming out of the case.

this mistake could make this watch a one off and very valuable watch and a multiple of the price paid for it just a thought!!
