I’m quite happy with their decision of a solid case back. While the movement has nothing to hide, on a thin dress watch I do not consider the ability to see the movement to be critical, especially on a time only piece. But it is possible that PP might eve...
I think solid is better on this one...
...as it is not a shaped movement for one thing, and there would have to be some sort of spacer. And I could be wrong, but would a sapphire back add just a hair to the thickness?

I agree that exhibition case backs should be more

I understand your point, but feel differently for the following reasons.
First, as you say, a see-through case back would make this watch slightly thicker and I consider its slimness (5.9 mm !) to be one of its strengths (its a sort of "complication" in itself). Then, this model isn't about displaying anything: it's simplicity...
