the watch pictured below which is a stainless steel AP perpetual with blue tapisserie dial vs 5740G makes for an interesting comparison. Maybe for me the AP wins. Tough choice.

Yes, an apple to orange comparison and hence I mentioned that upfront :-) The reason for the apple to orange is that
my friend and I bumped into each other and he was wearing his AP chrono. I count you for AP so that the vote is more balanced at Patek 3 and |AP 1

The Patek because Patek just holds a special place in my heart l. Also cos it's the 5740. Both blues are nice though
Angles
In all of the pictures the Patek has the best angle of its placement. Maybe were the AP in the same position it would look better. IMO of course 😉
