For me, Patek calendar complications look better without Breguet numerals. They make the dials too busy and crowded, I think.
Lovely dial colour and case.
I also prefer baton dials. I’m not a fan of the hands style either. They match the dial colour as do the sub dial hands. Would prefer the hands to contrast. So NICO my friend it’s got your name on it. Very rare bird for sure. M.
Right now I am liking salmon dials with applied black numerals...
But the Breguet numerals look nice on this perpetual, though maybe a little busier

It is interesting to note the auction catalogue lost essay described this watch as an "unusual and very rare platinum perpetual calendar chronograph" and didn't describe it as a
"possibly unique" like they do on many occasions. To date only 1 piece has appeared at auction and this is certainly a special request piece as it was produced in 2006 which was after the official discontinuation of 3970 in 2004

You and me both mon ami. It seems our horological tastes are very similar in some cases. Here, I feel the Breguet hands and numerals shine bright on that sumptuous salmon dial...
I would honestly not change a single detail from the photo except maybe a bespoke strap to add a "touche personnelle" 😉😁

these special dial 3970 are always a marvel... one wonders whether it is rare to the eye that the beauty stands out or whether it is due to the fact that the standard dials are less appealing regardless. My personal favorite is the white metal with black ...
