Randomly ...

Bought this watch back in 2013/2014.. unbelievable how fast time flies by.. it has been almost 8 years!

I have been using this watch very sparingly but totally stop using since 2017 and it has been sitting in the safe.

I dug it out early last week.. I fallen in love with it all over again!

I wind it up and adjusted to the exact time accordingly to the local radio time ..

Today, 10 days later, I checked, it is +/-0!! Wow!!

This got to be one of the most accurate mechanical watch I own. Never been serviced, 8 years old and still it keeps perfect time!

I just don’t understand why this references is so badly received by some PP collectors and buyers which the market prices has shown. It is great value for money comparing to my 5980/1R and 5711/1A.

I just can’t understand why the Nautilus are so hot!?? I mean technically it is not even comparable to my 5235.

Well, I am happy I own this piece. This is certainly one of my all time favourite PP.

Here is a wrist shoot with custom straps (blue and purple)

If you do own a 5235 do share some photos and tell us our ownership experience!

Cheers!

Listening to your compliments on the purple strap I just switch over the main photo πŸ˜‰ 🍻 HAGWE! James

Hi James, So glad that you are again in love with your 5235G ! IMO, this watch is very...

meaningful in that it 1) has a special movement (new when it debuted), 2) first regulator dial for Patek, and 3) lovely brushed dial. Enjoy more often !

Let’s not forget the Art Deco clasp

Only available with this reference.

Love the color of the strap!

Fits it very well!

The 5235 series encompassed all of Patek's top technology....

but the regulator dial is very polarizing. The G is clean and the vertical grain is very visible. The R is more sexy (to me) and has much more contrast with the subdials being black. The movement of this series is spectacular and one of the nicest movemen...

An underrated piece for sure!

And the combi with the purple strap is a killer. Enjoy it! (now perhaps for a longer time?) Best Thomas

Yes Thomas I will wear it more often.. πŸ‘πŸ»

Definitely one for the collector this model. I waited so long for this to come out and love mine but like most I suspect , it is not a daily wearer Quite a big watch though but wears well. Difficult to tell the time but who cares. Just staring ta the dial...

You wear it well! That last shot, the case is sharp and crisp!

I learn to tell the time just by looking at the top sub dial guesstimate time πŸ˜… I have seen a fellow collector wear the 5235g from afar.. it looks very plain n simple.. until you come closer, especially when you hold it in your hands you will start to tru...

The details are very nice...

...but I just can't deal with regulator dials...I'd prefer a jumping hour. Quick, what time is it? Uhhhhh.

πŸ˜‚ .. I read the top sub dial only.. β€œguesstimating” the time πŸ˜‰

I find this more challenging in guessing the time πŸ˜† ...

Fantastic watch and one say I hope to own one
