Pre-Owned Platinum Prices
I hope this does not violate the forum policy, which, as I understand, is mainly geared towards AD prices to avoid grey market arbitrage. I am talking second-hand watches here, offered by private sellers.
So, based on a quick C-24 query, I noticed that pre-owned 5035Ps are on par or even cheaper than 5196Ps. In terms of overall desirability - how does that add up? Manual 3-hands watch > AC?? And they have - if I am not wrong - even the same diameter, so simpler but larger watch > smaller but more complex watch also doesnt apply.
Puzzled.

of used watches is determined solely by demand. There is a much bigger demand for the 5196P than the AC in P. Watches have no intrinsic value as with any other personal property. They are worth only what someone will pay you for them. That is why we repea...

I would pay much more for 5196P than 5035P. Why: I like 5196P much more and in fact I think 5035P looks a bit ugly (my opinion) and I would not pay much for this watch. This is a personal judgement and has absolutely nothing to do with the complications. ...

Of course almost everything is a "matter of personal preferences". But these personal preferences, why someone choses A over B, is what is interesting. In your case, you rate design over technical complexity. Some people do it the other way 'round, if you...

have been in production for much longer than 5196? So perhaps simply more supply out there? Moreover 5035 has already been replaced while 5196 is still current? Having said that, I do agree the relative pricing is a bit interesting!
