Patek 2499 - Good time to be an owner
The time is right to be a Patek Philippe owner. Those fortunate enough to have inherited a watch or clock crafted by the legendary Geneva maker (estimated: 1851) are enjoying soaring values for these coveted heirlooms. The more technologically complicated, the more the timepieces may cost. On Oct. 12, Christies New York sold a fine and rare 18-karat gold perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch (shown here), made in 1966. Complete with moon phases, it clocked in at an impressive $352,000. Source Artfacts . com

Patek 2499 Christies
Now that you have picked your jaw off the ground. Here is the key piece of information i omitted in the first paragraph. The article in question was from 2006 Christies auction. How times have changed. I ended up on this little trail based on an post back in this forum talking about how prices have gone crazy circa 2006. Fast forward to today... Nothing has changed. or has it.
I must that the member in the forum at that time showed a distaste for discussing the auction results. I think that still hold true here for the collectors here. Is this the elephant in the room for Patek owners.
