As I was looking through the pictures, I was vicariously living through the new owners of these magnificent watches.
I am surprised that the 5016 does not come with a manual winding box. I remember Orbita (Sempre?) creating a manual winder for another PP collector.
How long did the new owner of the 5016 have to wait between approval of his application and delivery of this magnificent watch? (nice 5980 in the picture too!)
Two purchases worth celebrating

NO WATCH WINDER ??? AMAZING!
First: many, many thanks for this brilliant post! Pictures from the 5016R are always very much appreciated. And they are not blur at all, very nicely taken, actually. The same with your Lange Homage post! But how come that a 5016R is sold with its own boo...
Patek only supplies winders with automatic watches
Although the watch is small, it has presence on the wrist due to the contrast of the rose gold and black dial, as well as its thickness. - SJX
Of course, it is a manually wound ... how embarrasing...

And so the purchases were concluded.... and followed by a celebratory dinner at Morton's of Chicago which also doubled a a test venue for the repeater. The restaurant was noisy but the repeater was clearly audible from across the table so it passed. Morto...

Aside from 5970P, 5016 in any metals is something I would like to have someday..... IMHO, its one of the best complications and another one of the most good looking classics I would die to have....! Enjoy it and please wear them both always instead of put...
