Always liked the white metal with blue. Not for the movement cause that is the only thing I don't like. For such an impressive complication and such a price tag it could have been more 'special' than the same base movement we find in a world timer. Nothin...

... but astronomic complications and indications are energy hungry. A fine and delicate movement might be exclusive, but mostly not reasonable. This is why I have no problems at all with the ETA 2892A2 being the base movement of Ulysse Nardin's astronomic... 

Agree with your comment about the movement. Could have been more special. I love the central months indicator. Wish there were more models with this complication.

I've seen the 6102P a year ago and indeed, I'm also very attracted by the way the sky has been represented and what it brings in terms of poetry. Maybe that the 44mm are necessary for such a dial... I've never found any problem in having a smaller movemen... 

I think ... so long as it's solid and reliable ... the movement is not an issue. On the contrary the 240 is probably the ideal movement if self-winding is desired. In other threads I've seen concerning this watch and specifically complaining about the mov... 

And getting a thin movement base, especially an automatic wound one, is not that easy to find. I overlooked that point. Thanks for your input Best, Mark

There are watches (like the 5959P www.watchprosite.com ) that are proposed at a quite high priced compared to others and which assets are not always visible. The construction of the complication and the different layers (3 Sapphire glasses, moonph... 

I'm not sure if your premise that a Celestial is less complicated than a perpetual is true? While it is a fact that a Perpetual has a lot more dials, this may NOT be the only measure of complexity. Indeed, the 5078 only displays Hours, Minutes and Seconds... 

I believe each complications have their own issues and adjustments required to work properly, and there should be a somewhat tangible justification of why a watch within a brand's catalogue may be put in a certain pricing category to justify its value. I ...

If your opinion is that a Celestial does not meet your expectations for the money then you're right not to pursue one. For those of us who do covet this complication, however, it all makes terrific sense. I'll let you in on a very unexpected observation I...

Only jewelers have asked to see the watch when I've worn it. I've never bumped into another aficionado/collector with it on. Most of us are pretty low key at events that attempt to assemble a watch loving crowd ... so ... Nautilus 5980! Lol ... BTW I mean...

Mean Solar Time, I saw this watch at my dealer. I am very interested in astronomical complications. I walked away with mixed feelings. You're right, the dial indoors (and that's where I got to see it) is pretty dark and not at all like the photos, at leas...
