New (to me) addition
I’ve always found the 5070 appealing, but never gave it much thought beyond that. Then I finally saw this reference in person, rather than mere photos, and I was mesmerized. And the deal came together nicely. I then visited the Henri Stern Agency here in NYC to replace the original black strap and deployant with a matte grey with pin buckle. I’m very pleased with the result. Really enjoying this new (to me) piece!

I typically prefer 38-40mm. But it wears nicely. The downturned lugs help. I think the stepped case gives it an appearance of being larger than it is, but it’s actually comfortable. Switching from the deployant to the pin buckle also helped.

Arguably it is also one of the grail of all chronograph.

Last of the Lemania-based chronographs. Geneva seal. Uncommon size for a traditional Patek. Very pleasing pusher “feel”. Stepped case and sunken subdials create a subtle 3-dimension effect not as apparent in photos. 👍
