I see what you mean and I may agree with you about "taking more time" is a good thing. In the mean time, I hope you're are wrong about the way it may be taking today...
As a 5070 owner you certainly live with this watch long enough to be compeltly "in phase" with it, of course for excellent reasons.
I would just not agree about the "what's in the windows" matter you stated as this is still the youth of the 5170 and difficult to compare with a 15 years 5070 one.
If we compare today's 5170 with the 5070's after 3 or five years (depending on the 5170J or 5170G) then it should be closer in terms of "success". And I don't know the volumes either of both refs.
But that's not important and I compeltly agree with what you said about the place held by the Lemania in your heart.
I would like to get one of the 5170-5270-3970-5970-5070 one day, and really can't choose yet which one.

That's a problem
If you consider that in Paris there are quite a few long-time collectors, it means you have great chances to never get a limited version if you're a "normal" client with 2 or 3 pieces. This is indeed a problem.

but frankly, if I can't get one from the Salon, it will be hard from Wempe too. I asked them for the 175th 5975 chrono but they didn't receive any of this kind of pieces. I know what I'll have to do next time :) Cheers, Mark
