Patek Philippe

Ken...isnt that just the beauty of "taste"....

.....no right...no wrong....just what appeals to us individually?

The moment I saw the 5975P I thought it was breathtaking...aesthetically. There is nothing aesthetically I would change. Then I saw it was an automatic movement....and yes, that was a negative. But then, reflecting on what Moritz said, and then thinking about the fact that it has this three hand process and is meant to have the second hand working continually, well yes....it has to be an automatic movement.

The three different measurement scales will, some have argued, make the dial look busy. Well, take a look at the 1930s and 1940s chronos.....this is an echo of that era. The 5975 has a function directly related to the medical profession....wham! another aspect that draws me to it.

White metal...black dial....well, I guess I have shown my hand on liking that combination before!

It is something quite unique for Patek.....its functionality is incredibly pure. Its a pure chronograph functionality. Yes, it also tells the time (quite superfluous, imho!!).

Only 100 made so liking it is many many miles from getting it! I imagine the 5070P and 5975P sitting together and I see too very quirky nut astonishing chronographs
