Patek Philippe

Hi everyone, As you maybe know already, I love Patek's iconic Chronograph - Perpetual Calendar references. This combination has been first introduced by Patek Philippe around 1941 (1st date I found) for the 1518 , then we had the 2499 from 1951 (the 1518 ...

Still looking at them and thinking about how I'll live/wear them and trying to feel which is the one I really want. And there is still a budget issue and a price level I'm not totally ready to cross But holding a 5970R is a really interesting experience. ...

When I bought 5960/1A, I wasn't 100% convinced. The purchase was one of those "I do not have anything like that. Perhaps I'll try." Now I have big difficulties to take this watch off my wrist. I simply love it - it's just the right watch for me in all res...

There is also the "I'm not convinced on picture" but after several years, when decided to have a try, it is the revelation. That's why I have a try of "as much as I can", then I decide. As you say, you never know... Last discovery for me? The 5110 line-up...

... the 5270R is ahead for me. Proportions of the case, the details of the bezel and the lungs, is just the best there is out there. But the dial of the 5970R has something magical and that we do not find in the new generations of Patek. Advantage 5970 fo... 

The front side of the 5970 has something indeed magical. And I prefer the new movement. I must say that from my point of view the new 5270 (3rd gen) may really gather the best of both world. However, as the price tag increases, the expectations do equally...
