Indeed....it does have depth....

 

.....when i look at my preferences in Rolex-World, I take the Sea-Dweller over the Submariner and a part of that reason is the manner the SD sits on the wrist. Being that bit deeper, it has a different presence. With the 3448, I am guessing that the movement of the first auto perpetual required this from Patek....but the result is something that particularly appeals to me. There are actually 8 different graduated levels of depth on the case. 8!!! I have never seen a watch with so many. Especially since the dial has such a clarity and purity....
