I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts.
This came out of the blue and still, I am without words.
My son is a pilot and flew back in to town today and came by the store. I presented him with the watch and I wish I could have had a picture ... he is beside himself. And, of course, he wanted to know who gave it to him and tried several times to break me down to no avail.
He has grown up with Patek Phiippe until recently and certainly understands the magnitude of this gift.
Talk about taking care of a watch for the next generation!
