and what Baron was expanding on. Sure I guess an argument could be made that the popularity of the Nautilus makes it analogous to the popularity of the Sub. On watch forums and IG, you definitely will see a plethora of Nautilus just like a lot of posts about Subs. I think the same comparisons can be made about other brands' popular models like the AP 15202ST or the GP Laureato or the Omega Bond Seamaster. They're all big sellers and a wide swath of watch owners and it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere and these watches come out for the fun & sun. So it's not surprising wherever you are on holiday, same is seen.
As a closer comparison though I think the PP Aquanaut is more similar to the Subs in terms of target market similarities.
I read somewhere recently a joke with much truth in it: "what's the best way to piss off a vintage watch guy? show up to his GTG with the same vintage watch he has." 😜. It applies for modern watches too. Think of it as confirmation that you have great taste in watches.

I would not be " impacted " by others' watches. If I like a watch, I like it. Seeing it on others' wrist ill not change my feelings on my watch. But it is just me... Best, Nicolas

The nautilus is very popular and worn because it is an icon just like the Royal Oak. For this reason people love it and buy it and we can definitely say that it is not a rare watch, especially nowadays.

many Rolex Subs, Gmt.'s, new or even vintage models, Cokes, Pepsis and so on. I didn't see too often a Nautilus, it is not common like the Rolex sporties. Anyway, I also wear what I like, and don't influence me what the others wear! Yours, Adam

.....the Submariner is probably the most produced watch in the world....it is way higher in production than Nautilus. That is never in doubt. However, nor is it in doubt that within Patek, the Nautilus has become perhaps the most posted watch and most own...

In fact, even If I don't have actual figures, knowing each brands overall output ant what we know of Rolex and Patek, the number of Nautilus is much much lower than the number of Submariners. No real comparison here I think. hence, it won't be as seen out...
Nautilus is first class all the way. The Subs are a notch lower , still a great watch. But less refined.

Though, that I have not seen a single Aquanaut of any kind, but I do really enjoy my time off. If there is none, positioning to not work out fully as planned for PP... will keep looking.
