I reluctantly admit...
I reluctantly admit that I unfortunately did not know of Patek Philippe at that time. And if I did know of Patek Philippe back then, then I must not have known what it was.
When I was very young, I came to associate things quite liberally. Sometimes making the wrong associations.
For example, I was intrigued with Montblanc pens. The white star on the cap seemed to be very similar to many other "white stars" and thus I thought they were for the use of personnel in the "white star" industry. Boy was I wrong.

dun have any pateks nor are aware of them then...still happy with casio. only mechanical time piece was a tissot fm the 70s bought fm chinatown. but remember the day the wall came down very well...reagan, thatcher, kohl...all fm that era. first love of PP...

Wish I was a teenager then, but yes I did know Patek
and the Pateks I remember most were the 150th Anniversary Officer's Campaign and jump hour watch introduced in 1989 but still going on in 1990.

I was 29 years old and thought that my Timex runner's watch was the hottest thing going. If someone would have explained the Patek brand to me I would have laughed about how dumb rich people can be - wasting all that good money on watches! Now, here I sit...
