i made the mistake of not
trying before i buy. I was really dissapointed with the 5165 as it felt to small on my 7 inch wrist.i quickly sold it and only re purchased the 5167 at the begining of the year. Theres a noticable difference in size and the dial colour is far nicer as well. I purchased with the bracelet as it gives the watch the elusion of being bigger as well. i took the view that i can always buy a rubber strap later if i want a different look. The 5167 is my daily wearer and i love it.My actually buy the 5167r next for dressier times of need.

I was in exactly the same situation and decided to do what our mutual friend suggested (i.e. see the watch and try it on before you make a final decision). I had all but decided on a 5165 - until I saw them together at the same time and went for the 5167....
Patek do make mistakes by the way...
For those of you who have the 2009-2010 catalogue, check out p104. The 5167A is in fact a picture of the 5165 (also shown on p 107)
