1. 5960 - loved the pushers, dial layout and colour scheme, but over time two things bothered me: thickness and the fact that it was doing too many things at the same time. Do one thing and do it really well. Manual chrono > auto. 2. 5170 - lovely breguet... 

I do agree with the sentiment to do one thing and do it well. Not that the 5960 does anything poorly, and actually combines a bunch of things well, just thought that movement finishing on the others is def superior. In fact, the 5960 technically, is prob ... 

The one I would sell is the 116509. The 5960 is such a cool and interesting modern Patek! Which version do you have?

Until the recent application of the film. Let me see how it feels in a month or so. But, this was my original thought too. I'm sure the least "interesting" homologically speaking

Also love the VC and think the cornes de vache are the nicest lugs out there but it looked a little dressier than I wanted.

Case is under 11mm and pleasantly wears larger than the 39.4mm diameter. Although you're asking about the G (and I have the R) you should be able appreciate the applied Breguet numerals from this macro shot. Best, Robert ...

Hence I would weigh in on 5170 or 5172. Alternatives are 5131, 5110 or 5130 if you like Patek's iconic WT pieces.
