I do hope you get yours soon, but the 5167 is still king in my book.
The 5167 checks all the boxes including being adaptable to most any situation or outfit. It’s a foundational PP. I’m not taking anything away from the 5968, but 5167 gets much more wrist time. I also found it significant that FabR above, our PP moderator, could easily have the 5968 if he requested, but he’s content with his 5167 (on bracelet). If I was going to part with one of them, it would have to be the 5968 since the 5167 is timeless to me. But that’s just my viewpoint.👍🏽

I didn’t realize it before, but looking at it in the sunlight yesterday that is exactly what I felt. And there’s a similar quality to the black Rolex ExplorerII.
Orange and black make for a great combo👌🏽
So does red and black. And yellow and black.🤣 I guess any contrasting color with pop makes for a nice combo with black. Top of list I might include orange, yellow, and turquoise. It depends on the execution as well.
I don't wear mine that often
find the clasp very uncomfortable und the orange is hard to match with suits.... but otherwise it is for me the best Aquanaut iteration ...

Do you have any other Aquanauts, or one is enough for you from this line? Wondering if you’d wear the other more, although clasp would be similar I expect.
I was offered 5164A this spring from my AD
but declined - this one is enough, I would wear other Aquanauts with the same low frequency. Must admit that the Nautilus clasp is way better, so I purchased the new 5712/1R and the new 5990A and am wearing them happily. My favorite however is my 5088p......
No doubt, the 5088p is on a different level…
and that’s obviously a huge statement when weighing against 5712r or blue 5990a!

With the orange strap it screams across the room I feel (maybe it’s in my head). I definitely a low key guy, so I wouldn’t want such attention (or judgement) based on a watch. I’d only be willing to share normally if at a gtg with people like on this foru...

Thanks for this superb 5968A portrait, Aymen --- a big favorite of mine within the Aquanaut line, especially with its unique orange strap! Obviously less under the radar than other references, but hard to beat as a 'casual chic' sports model! ;-)
Orange is one of my favorite colors, so while I passed on the 5968 (I'm happy with the 5167A as my one and only Aquanaut), you can bet that I still thoroughly enjoy some of the cool summer gadgets from its launch! Cheers! ...

I’ve only got the 5167. I’ve asked for this but not sure I’d be lucky to get one but if I did, sure as hell I’ll wear it. I’m lucky to live in a city that is still very safe to wear a wrist watch !

I completely agree!
5167 is my go to among all of the pieces I own. Such a versatile tool. If it’s good for our own FabR and a certain Mr McCartney, it is definitely good for me lol 😂. Mine is also originally the bracelet version although I got the strap so that I can use it...

I think I get a little defensive when I see (or perceive) other Aquanauts getting preference over the 5167…which happens a lot with regard to people’s choice of the 5164😤🤣🤣🤣
