I have never seen these before. Thank you for sharing. I think especially in the context of cubitus release, it’s super interesting that here’s a rectangular watch with a round movement. Yet, that was one of the main complaints about the cubitus.
I think it’s because the Cubitus
has a display case back. And because Patek and some other brands have sometimes gone the extra mile and made a beautiful shaped movement, which would have been a great feature for the Cubitus (and for the price asked).
Not sure what the original price of this reference would be today (when corrected for inflation).
But the fact remains that it’s a rectangular watch with a round movement and here we all are admiring its beauty. And it truly is very beautiful.

This certainly is a very nice graduation present! I’ve seen some 5014R mentioned, but couldn’t find any official extract or certificate confirming the rose (and not yellow) gold. And, strangely, the rose gold seems to be mentioned only for the black dial ...
It was certified by seller as an R version.
I checked with the family member who bought it.

Emmanuel, thanks for another wonderful pictorial review, this of the not so popular 5014. These are the 5 reasons in my opinion why the 5014 is not very popular:
1) it is not round 2) it is not round 3) it is not round 4) it is a bit small by today’s standards 5) many might find it to be somewhat antiquated looking and plain and simply just not their desired aesthetic. This is not how I feel about it. Do I love th...

With a closed case back, I find it personally much easier to forget about the shape of the movement.
Then you have to choose
