Got my only green dial Patek…… Certainly not 5711 green, but the more accessible olive green aquanaut! The green colour dial and strap remind me of another former hobby - Leica olive green camera. 42.2mm size / 8.25mm thick proportion wears thin on wrist,...

I will join the ranks tout de suite ;-)

In fact, I just started to study the origin of aquanaut after acquiring this beauty and found the following from the blog of acollectedman: In Volume 4 of the Patek Philippe Magazine. Thierry Stern himself is quoted, describing the origins of the brand’s ...

Fascinating indeed!

Would be interesting to seek know if any members of the armed forces do wear this version.

Comparing it to your green Montblanc 13.21

 By: penfriend : February 27th, 2022-10:05
I am totally underwhelmed with this PP offer. Neither the front and its military green dial nor the caliber come imo close to the MB. So at this price point (PP being roughly 40% more than the green Villeret piece and steel vs gold not being that kind of ...

Thank you, Penfriend. Second your view that the MB 1858 Chrono green limited edition is superior to 5168G in terms of dial colour rendition and the complexity of caliber. Actually few calibers can rival the Minerva MB13.21.

Nevertheless, I can still find some merit in favour of 5168G, namely: screw down crown with 120m water resistance and the composite strap which is more versatile. Both of them will be the pillars of my collection, which I won't part with easily
