A reworked shot of my ex Patek Nautilus 5712.

I don't regret having let this Nautilus 5712 go, as it was to fund a 5070G, some 8 years ago. But if I had to go for a Nautilus, I would hesitate between two: The 5980 ( Chrono ) because it is a hell of a cool watch, and the original, the 3700. For me, th...

And used to have one. amazing piece. However the 5980 wins my heart and wrist over. I have over the years contemplated a 3700 many times.... not found the right specimen perhaps yet... it is a wonderful piece and very different from the modern Nautilus. F...
The 5712
By: drphileasfogg : September 1st, 2018-02:29
5712 is a very unique watch because it is thin, the dial is deep blue, and importantly it has one of the only asymmetrical dials that work. Not so many examples across brands, another example is the JLC master ultra thin with RM.
That is a sublime photo of the 5712

Itβs a great watch and Iβve owned one for a while back in 2010 but sold it after around a year and upgraded to the 5980 Although the 5712 is more poetic and elegant the 5980 is more my style with its ultra sporty chic style and size The 3700 is definitely...

5980 fantastic strong sporty look but a bit thick. 5700 the original iconic one but now out of reach 5712 both very cool and versatile with strong original Nautilus DNA very comfy ... so this is the one I choose. Right now on my wrist π Best, Mike ...

No white date disc glaring on a blue dial. A Patek Philippe that is elegant, and the dial looks a little "complex" which is nice. I really like how thin it is. It's one of those "James Bond" watches that you can dress up with a tuxedo or dress down with c...

And all can be enjoyed differently. I love them all, but I love my 5712 since it was one of the first Pateks to draw me in. Really is a classic piece that to me has no real comp, vs 3700 will be compared to original Jumbos, and 5980 will be compared to a ...

The 5712 is my favourite Nautilus: refined, classy, complicated, comfortable, thin, blue, elegant with a sporty touch, extremely versatile. To me, is very close to the perfect "one only watch". The 5980/1A is still refined but with a much sportier look. I...

That Philipps auction really propeled the Nautilus to a legendary status. Warm regards my friend. We meet in the future in beautiful Paris. Geross.
