Ten years ago, I asked Patek ( The Henri Stern Watch Agency) to change the dial on my 3940j.I wanted to switch from the “Opaline “ dial to a “Dore’ “ dial. They said,
“No Problem”! They took months to do the work and it cost a few thousand dollars. The results were beautiful! Last year, I asked them to switch out a dial on another watch and they said “ No Way!” . If you were asking to change a damaged dial to a new version of the original, they would do it. If you wanted to change a dial from the original to one of a different color or configuration, they wouldn’t. Times have changed....
Can we purchase a dial?

Many years ago I asked Patek to change a dial (with good reason related to assembling a bracelet).
No problems at all and the dial was not even expensive. Best, Kari

You should be able to change dials but within the dial range of your model
Example: wife wants to change her brown dial to white no problem. But if you want a ice blue dial usually found on platinum models on your steel one, then they won’t do it. Cannot get your original dial back too.
