Patek is so funny, though, with their 'value' models. (Cough, cough! Ahem!) certainly value is relative here, to Patek's other prices. But the strange psychology of Patek creates a world where a very expensive watch like the 5205 becomes vaguely entry level-ish (not my view, but I've come up against this view a million times and got sick of it.) And putting a watch like the 5960 which is very nice and all--at some extraordinarily higher level (frankly undeservedly, I think, since it's just an auto chrono...made in very high numbers.) I know I seem to be knocking both watches, but that's not my point. I'm really just venting--again--about how annoying and grieviously cynical Patek is with pricing and marketing, and the love-killing aftermarket/gray market that Patek directly/indirectly creates.
