Patek Philippe

For what it's worth...

I do not believe there should be any limit on how many times you need to wind the movement (even if Patek say 10 times), as that click indicates you're protected against over-winding.

One should be able to take a watch from a drawer, wind it to full spring tension, and wear it.  It's in fact better to wear it at full-tension to guarantee linear power-delivery to the gear-train etc.  I'm not an expert on regulation aspects but my understanding is that as the total power reserve drops, the power received by the gear train may not be entirely linear (optimal).

So your winding habits are quite ok, and I do the same to my pieces.  Not worn my 5127 in months, I really need to give it an outing.  Sometime soon I hope!

Good luck in getting this sorted.

Best, M.
