Now to the other part of your question. I personally am more into modern watches because they are generally more robust as well as modern sizes fitting me better. With vintage there is more work making sure the watch is all correct as well. I purchased a vintage watch once it was an absolutely gorgeous gold 36mm IWC cal.89 with horn lugs. I still love and miss it, but every time I wore it 5 minutes later the crystal would fog up even when it came back from service. Maybe the humidity here in Hong Kong is too.
