The most iconic PP design in my opinion, and worthy of any horology enthusiast's attention, but just like you, I have a tangible number of watches I love even more than the Nautilus, and am thus far more likely to give my full attention (and money) to them over the Nautilus.... I'm not particularly drawn to watches with integrated bracelets. But in this case, the 5711 is by far my favorite.
I couldn't be sure until I tried it on,

These are good review points.
Over a decade I found the blue dial would present itself in varying shades depending on viewing conditions, and the proportions and thinness very pleasant. Of all the watches I've owned the 5711 1A is my all time favorite.

and it speaks volumes about how great this watch is. I have no doubt that the blue dial is very nice and versatile: I’m just personally more drawn to other colors, which is why I chose the grey dial Alpine Eagle. Best, Emmanuel

Tbh i have never been a huge fan of the Nautilus and also not a big fan of bracelet watches . Imho the AP has an overall better design . I understand the appeal of the Patek but its just not for me 🤷🏻♂️

I love the 5711, and I've also bought the AP15450 and GP Laureato, but they are similar to the 5711, yet not the same. However, your frank opinions (even if they differ from my preferences) are very persuasive.

I completely understand why you would choose the Alpine Eagle despite valuing the 5711. I was able to buy the 5711 at a much more reasonable price back in 2012, but now it's incredibly expensive.
Well, it didn't feel “remarkable” or “spectacular” to me,
