like the the chrono pusher mechanism in 5164 are not robust. Most watch owners rarely use the chrono features. The chronograph mechanism is therefore not put to strain at all. More so in Pateks where watch owners may be petrified to operate their expensive pieces.
I guess you have put the watch through normal wear and are not one of the the classic Patek collectors that buy and then keep the watch double-sealed; hoping that the model gets discontinuedđ€Ș
It might be interesting to read about how A.Lange & Sohne tests the pushers 50,000 times!!! apart from the other tests on a Datograph Perpetual.

I thought there was something wrong with the movement itself when the upper pusher became almost stiff like rock to push. And I used to engage the pushers regularly during the last year. Will keep your advice in mind and keep using the pushers.
