Does anybody have onhand experience with PP 6301P-001?
Dear Watchpros,
i am presently doing my due diligence on the Patek 6301-001. The watch fits me well (see picture), is discreet with great and for me valuable complications and the finishing seems top notch. The question for me is, is it something people wear or a safe queen? If one searches the Web one finds either excellent shots of unused pieces or glamour shots with celebrities, which for me is more a minus than a plus. As I assume that some of our members have this timepiece I wanted to ask you for your personal experience and use of the 6301P-001 to inform my final decision. Nobody but a WIS will know what it is...
...but people looking to steal watches might so all caution plus insurance. But my take is this. If I have enough FU money to buy a rare Ferrari, for example, I'm also going to drive it. Will it lose value? Who cares. Life it short.
I can't wait to read responses from owners who actually wear the watch!
It's a good point though, at this level due diligence is a rarely discussed but so important part of the purchase process.

I just kid. But lovely watch. Beautiful dial and complication. I am sure there are a few in this community that can give you the honest takes you need.
It is a large watch and you have the wrist size to pull it off...
...my wrist is not small, but 42mm is about as large as I like to go, regardless of funds : )
I am a big fan of stealth, or 'hidden' features...
...which is why I admire the fact that Patek shows tourbillons (almost always, I believe) from the back. This 6301 has that quality, especially with a black dial. Not flashy, which I love.
