Do not daily wind
when not in use. Just wearing out the watch. The advice to wind once a month is sound advice to me. The perpetual calendars are advised to be kept running because setting them frequently is hard on the setters and the movement. Simple time or time and date watches do not have these issues.

Not too much winding
It is better not to wind them so often, they will wear out much less. In the mean time, winding them once iin a while keeps the oils work properly on the long run.
