but I think the 5531R is a lot more money. I too would take the 5531R over almost any watch of any brand!

The 5372P costs about 10% lower than the 5531R so you are right in that it is in a similar price bracket which explains why the 5372P is unlikely to be a big seller.
That's what I was wondering too, but I was told yesterday that the 5531 are just starting to be released here...Italy will probably get 3 or 4 , and only to previous MR owners, which sounds fair enough...
Not sure about other countries though. I'm also (badly) looking forward to some nice wristshots from the lucky owners!
The case size
at 38.5mm was so right that I thought it would attract many purists to it. But the dial of the 5370P despite its 41mm diameter is arguably more attractive. I know a few purists who are eagerly awaiting for launch of the the 5370R!!
I agree that there are more attractive dials out there
5372's dial disappointed me at the beginning, but would love to see it in person, I'm sure it's "not that bad" 😉

a dial that is 'not that bad' would not suffice. It has to be pretty incredible at the very least!

I suspect. The super high end market is not as robust as it was in the early 2000's.
By my calculations I'd need a net worth around $100 million before I could afford a watch like this.

Perfect size, subdials arranges in a very appealing and symmetric manner, amazing complications in a wonderful case.... But personally financial reasons aside, it would not be my first pick in that stratosphere. Perhaps it is the cutouts on the dial that ...

But this kind of watch I would personally not wear on a regular basis.... if I had to pick one for daily use you are correct!
This is way out of my budget, but I would wear it on a daily basis (office environment) if I could afford it.
To me, a PC doesn't make any sense if you don't wear it for long periods, so that you can enjoy the complication.
I do agree on that watches are to be worn...
And he size and understated dial options make this an ideal daily candidate. Still not my top pick in this price range however.... even for a daily office watch...
if we were to play the game... of pick any watch of choice made by PP in similar price range beyond my current reach with the requirement of daily wear... then
for me I would have to go with any one of the below, in no particular order or preference - 3670A - 5950A - 5004A - 5951P black dial.....
I have seen the watch in person but never in my wrist unfortunately....
I am sure it feels great on the wrist as size is perfect....

I agree, I don't buy any piece (at any price point) if I don't have a real emotion when I try it on
