This watch was actually first posted, anonymously, by Raymond_S in a picture taken during the PuristS event at the Patek Philippe Exhibition in NYC this past July. And I snuck it into a few posts some time ago. But now, here it is in what I hope are some ...

And what a great piece this is! I find their world timers amongst the most attractive offerings they have and this is an excellent example you got. And some great pics, too!

Patek World Timers are definitely some of their nicest watches.

I tried on 5230G and R at my AD some time ago and found that both are really beautiful. I share your view that 5230 is an improvement on 5130, although I would have preferred a case diameter of 39.5 mm. I'm seriously considering to buy one in the future. ... 

I can say that I am sure you will love it should you pull the trigger.

I think getting the white gold 5230 is a very solid move. I also do like this Reference and it is a great visual delight with that anthracite Guilloche. Great photos as well! Did you say in the text that this was your entry to World Timers? Ahem, what abo... 

Yes, my wording was misleading, now that I look back. I will have to place the two next to each other when my GP comes back to me. It's having a little work done right now.

Indeed we are lucky to have this beauty.

I really like the 5230, in particular I love the case and lugs compared to the 5110 and 5130.

This case grows on you-so different from the 5130 and 5110. I know some have found it problematic, as more likely to get scratched but I love it.

We just discussed the issue few days ago with Nico about 5110 P / 5230 G and we reached the conclusion that both ref are the right ones to consider for anyone looking for a PP WT. You have been well advised by your French friend and the British Vladigator... 

Yes, we are all on the same page-if not the 5110 then this one. And I can say that having the 5230 now I am very glad this was the one I chose. The dial work is phenomenal and, as I stated above, I have fallen in love with this case.

I think you're right. This guilloche is very special.

Yes this new guilloché dial is really something. It makes me think to the "sound vibration" experiments used by few artists to create progressive forms (I know I'm crazy 😜). And regarding the scooped-out hour hand, it makes me think to the Empire State Bu...

there is a romance to the PP WT due to its elegance and I can't help but think that it must be very tempting to check every city off and visit them for fun so your memories can be re-lived each time you strap the watch on.

I don't know if it will change your mind about the 5110P, but you will certainly love it.

Beautiful watch. I have looked at both the G and R versions and they are both fantastic but the G is a bit more natural and wearable for all settings. Congrats again its on my PP list of future purchases.
