Patek Philippe

It was between these two: Being a fan of Lange, I was naturally leaning towards the Lange. It came down to the wire.... And in the end, I picked the Patek 5205. Second Patek in a space of two months... May be I am a closet Patek fan? Regards, iAn ...

Even if I'm a Lange lover (and I'm not a Patek addict), I finally chose the 5205... BUT I much prefer the black version! ;) Fx ...  

Your 5205 is beautiful. I think the outstanding difference between the two is the case design - the Patek has just a gracefully flowing design, while the Lange seems a bit too stiff. Enjoy the watch, and let's see if the new PP a month trend continues for... 

Both dials spoke to me. But when placed side by side, the 5205 has something about it that I can't explain in words. "X" factor? Regards, iAn

Like Nicholas mentioned, though I very much respect Lange & Sohne pieces, their AC was never one of my favourites. You have made, imo, totally the right choice. And soon my 5205, will be haring the same coloured dial. :) Regards Tony

.... out of the closet, iAN. Great choice. The calendar display on the PP 5205 is just perfect - exactly how I read off dates, and much easier than the little pointy things on the Lange. And that concave bezel on the Patek is sublime, along with the moder... 

But the grey dial works better for me on my wrist as it is more legible. Have fun deciding. :) Regards, iAn

The silvery grey dial is perfect IMHO for a dress watch. We travelled the same path - an AC and a Nauti. On your third month, do I sense an Aquanuat 5164 or 5167? :D Happy holidays !

I have not seen the Lange AC in person but imho, the face is not as appealing as Patek. I think the marketing for Lange was very good stressing on craftsmanship and engineering precision, but I somehow felt Lange pieces generally leaves me a bit cold. Any...
