How lucky of you to have found this rare example of the classic 3940!

I saw some yellow gold ones and I was not convinced until I now see yours! It is really nice, I appreciate the French dial and the smaller register dials. As you guessed it looks much better with your brown strap. Enjoy Best, Stan
