to say this is something special

is quite an understatement. I think there is a historic ad from a parisien dealer from the late 30s in the Patek "History book". I like both your watch and the ad a lot. The one thing that bothers me: Its so nice you cant really wear it on a regular basis...

Restoration lasting more than 2 years, the waiting list is long, less than for a nautilus but long . This watch is a heritage coquetry, so it sleeps wisely in its box. I use something else for every day

Wow! [nt]

You have got an eye for esthetics, my friend

You do not need to know if the hands are original. Neither do I know really. They just look wrong.

Sublime. What a dial! [nt]

dial

I think this dial was made on very little piece between 1937 and 1938, some have print sector and others more rare in gold Another copy onlyvintage.com

Well done Patek and you: the hands needed replacement

The hands look quite wrong on the unrestored picture. Therefore a pair of new hands would look odd on an unrestored dial. I like the restored look Fantastic watch!

Sublime, vintage Patek at its best

Long time I've seen such a rare and beautiful watch ...

Congratulations on owning such a beautiful and rare vintage Patek. I have a question....

In general, I would not “redo” a previously untouched dial, even if the redo is to be done by Patek. With almost all redone dials from 30s-60s there are clearly visible vertical lines and some of the enameled signature and tracks are diminished in height ...

Spectacular!
