At these prices, it def. a fake
I just bought one for $75 at a pawn shop in San Antonio, Texas. It does look good though, and it tells the time so I'm happy. "Real" PP watches don't live in pawn shops, in my experience...

When they introduced the 3970 in the mid 80's there was also a ref. 3971. The 3970 came with a metal back, the 3971 with crystal back. After a while they were replaced by the 3970e, wich comes with both a metal and a crystal back. Regards, Joram
