Are there any watch dealers in your area where you can try them on?
I always say that less is more. Unless you have a larger wrist I would say the 33mm watch would be better proportioned since it is a dressy piece.
As for the metal tone, I personally would prefer yellow gold because it suits the classic style and creates more of a contrast against the white dial. Another consideration is the shade of metal of your other jewelry or accessories you may pair with the watch such as belt buckles, earrings, bracelets, etc.

This is very, very helpful and aligns with much of where I am leaning. My jewelry is 50/50 white gold and yellow gold, belt buckles yellow gold, but my Hermes handbags are all gold hardware
