....it only becomes a problem if it is left for years. I put mine in the safe and left it there for 4 monhs. When I took it out, it was very simple to alter the date to the correct one because I knew which year it was. If i had left it for several years.....
i wished it wasn't the case.....
.....but a porthole really upsets the aesthetic for me. Only one watch I like it on...... 5650G. On that, it has two symmetrically-placed portholes that enhance because they are intrinsic to the complication. But single portholes don't work for me.
