Went down with my wife earlier to view the new Patek novelties ... the 5711A/1300A was surprising good looking and paired well with the olive green dial. New unisex 4947/1A was also quite attractive with a very nice shade of dark blue with textured horizo...

Yes the vertical and horizontal cross brushings, as well as the deeper shade of blue on the 4947 is really quite nice and I have not seen it in other Pateks before.

Raw silk ....more like textured oxford shirt..beautiful dial.

Yes agree it looks more like the textured Oxford effect than a Shantung silk texture, either way the overall effect is attractive and different from most dials

The Shantung effect is currently on the Ladies' 7300/1200R-010 and 7300/1201R-001.

Thank you -- I'm by no means supposed to know all regular references (!), but if I have to guess chances are this 5298 LE is only available locally and for some particular celebration, as it's not part of the official 2021 roster (including LEs).

Yes, while both the G & R versions are attractive, the G is more modern, especially with its dial. Hope you love it in the metal too and looking forwards to some nice wrist shots of it on you

I am afraid I did not enquire further on the 5298P as I was rather more distracted with the other pieces

We haven’t seen any enamels, marquetry for some time now

Maybe and hopefully later this year more references will be released. Patek usually likes to keep a few surprises peppered throughout the year ( to sustain interest and suspense??? )

I was told there will be releases later this year starting from June

Yep, I asked Patek last week and they do not have a date for the Rare Handcraft releases yet. But I would definitely expect something this year ;-)
