the anniversary WT has got the nimbus of a top collector's item ...
... and is one, actually. However, a 5110 WT is a very elegant daily companion and less fragile in construction and therefore the preferred choice for daily use.
i think combining moonphase and world time was genius....
.....moonphase carries with it an air of romanticism and mystique. Global travel also has that romanticism in it. Basing the watch with that black dial just tops it for me...it is my favourite WT of any.
I love them both...
...but have a soft spot for the anniversary because it is so out of character for PP: if Darth Vader wore a watch, it would be this one. For similar reasons I like the 5712: if Captain Nemo wore a watch that would be it (despite only 60m WR)...(note pleas...

It is indeed interesting to see what different interpretations Patek can make of the WT.
The 5110/5130 on the one hand, the 5230 being another very different evolution, or this 5575 which is the most different one. Of course the 5131 is another very appealing and distinct interpretation of the famous reference. I must say I love the way black...
