Advice needed on strap lenght

May 30, 2019,13:02 PM

I want to order a gray strap for my 5960P. It looks great on the original dark brown one, which is aging beautifully btw, but fancy a change šŸ˜Š I'm thinking of customizing the length of the strap at 12, to minimize the surplus you can see below on the current standard strap.

I like the position of the buckle on the wrist, so I wouldn't change the strap at 6. The long one shows 2cm after the the holder, which is the minimum you would recommend? I'm thinking of "cutting" 1cm or 1.5cm. Thanks!

But understand your annoyance with the bit sticking out. But if you move the second holder out it will keep the bit closer to the wrist and become less visible... Gray strap is amazing in any leather. Personally I like the softer kinds as it matches with ...

Your pictures are the proof that the gray combo looks stunning! The tan is also nice, but less appropriate for my daily business attires.

You have an amazing watch BTW

How a strap fits is a completely personal preference. I think yours looks fine. I too have put this watch on a dark grey strap and it works a treat. Here are a few pictures. Iā€™m also considering a lighter grey. Look forward to seeing the result. M. ...

Thanks Miles, yours isn't bad either! šŸ˜‰

Light gray is very tempting, maybe something to consider after the dark one šŸ˜œ

I can't see it very well, but dark blue with grey stitching sounds like an interesting option.

Thanks Blansky for your suggestion

Unfortunately Patek deployment system is designed to be worn like that. I don't like it, but I'm trying to live with it. If you change it, the metal of the deployment is placed against the wrist bone and not comfortable at all. I had this issue for years ...
