A nice gesture my friend, but an even greater gesture if you decide not to run away with this 5522..😂😇

Seriously, I had a chance to try it on once in Boston (I probably still have the pictures somewhere), and it’s indeed a strikingly simple but fascinating piece! Glad it was as successful as Patek was hoping for when they released it in the US, and that it remains so popular all over the world👍
Hope Lurker will decide to join!😉🥂

...but this one would be better-served by a sub-seconds hand at 6. The bottom half looks very empty and it gives the dial an unbalanced look.
I like it!

It is rare, special and practical. But, when it comes to beauty, there are so many rivals at a small fraction of its price. For instance, my new Longines Heritage 1938 ...
I like this watch.

However I do not need to own this watch. I would like it much better if it were two millimeters smaller and was a manual wind.

What a nice watch! I tried to get one when they were new, but did unfortunately not get an allocation at that time. And I refuse to pay the inflated gray dealer prices.

... I'd have wanted to see it in the regular catalogue rather than as a 600 piece limited edition which is actually quite a lot for Patek. If it could be had regularly at MSRP after a short wait I might get one. Maybe Patek had been afraid an unlimited 55...

Effortless design
By: 74hk : April 6th, 2020-00:50
To me the design is boring and effortless. The position of the lume on the second hand looks out of place as it sits too close towards the end of the hand. The hand set looks clumsy overall. The case is simple, but lacks the sophistication that we would u...
You sort of hit the nail on the head, but
By: tahoeblue : April 6th, 2020-14:57
an "effortless design" is the point. Large, stainless, sporty pilot case, large easy to read luminous numerals, basic-appearing dial and hands (though not nearly so basic in execution as you might expect), wonderful dial color. Sort of un-Patek, but such ...
Casual elegance is always the most difficult to achieve!

As a unabashed fan of the 5522A, all I can say is that it's a great casually elegant look, historically accurate, and beautifully crafted with precise details such as its applied numerals that almost look painted on the dial. I'd love to sport one with je...

Wow... congrats for being the broker & escrow for your friends... I admit, the Exhibition pieces didn’t attract me because I knew I couldn’t have. How is the market price now?
