5227's

Over Christmas I added a WG 5227 to my collection, joining the RG version I picked up a few months earlier. For me, the case on this watch is really awesome. The size is right where I like it to be at 39mm for this kind of watch, and I'm possessed by the hunter case back. Also, I really like the scalloping on the lugs as I think it gives the case a great look.

I think the ivory dial works better with the RG case in reality, but I'm moving more towards WG and Platinum in my tastes.

Lastly, the RG watch was an early piece and is engraved on the inside with the hallmark, PP brand, etc. The WG case is smooth for engraving as the media around the watch suggested would happen with the 2nd generation and on.
